Accessibility
Last reviewed: 5 October 2026
We want everyone to be able to use Social Housing Compliance, including people who use a screen reader, magnification, voice control or a keyboard only.
What we do
- We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
- We design for strong colour contrast, and for pages that work when zoomed to 200% and on a phone.
- We design every page to work with a keyboard, with clear labels on links and buttons.
- Photos have text descriptions.
- We write in plain English.
What isn't perfect yet
- Some PDF documents may not work fully with screen readers. Every document is also available as a Word file, which works better with assistive technology.
- We haven't had an independent accessibility audit yet. We test the site ourselves.
